Midtown Tulsa Real Estate - Lori Cain: Beautiful doe in Pawhuska Oklahoma - heart and capitol of Osage County in Oklahoma

Beautiful doe in Pawhuska Oklahoma - heart and capitol of Osage County in Oklahoma

These photos were taken this morning from my Mom's home in Pawhuska, Oklahoma - the heart and capitol of Osage County. These six deer were slightly beyond Mom's front yard. I took the photos from inside her home through her kitchen window - had I opened the front door, I would have scared the doe off.

I'm not a great photographer, and I'm experimenting with a new camera - however, when your subjects are so beautiful, it's hard to screw up.

Enjoy.

What a beautiful sight to see out of your window.  When I was at my Dad's place over Christmas I was walking between the buildings at night and these stags ran in front of me and then started fighting on one of the lawns.  It was amazing.

Stags, Jane? Wow - that would be amazing!

Darren - very cool indeed. They have a solar home and the entire front of the house is windows. They sip coffee and view sights like this often. Nice to VISIT the country.  :-)

That is much prettier than the scenes from "August in Osage County" that I saw on Broadway.

Lori,

Nice shots.  Does your mom have these sights out of her window often?

New camera, huh?  Don't you just love new toys?  What kind did you get?

Joe - the writers and producers of "August in Osage County" are from Tulsa - Billie Letts and her son, Tracy - are personal friends of mine.

Judi - yes, she enjoys these sights often. I visit her frequently, but it seems that the most AWESOME sightings are when there is snow on the ground, and you are happy to be inside with hot coffee, but enjoying the view. They have a totally solar home that was featured in Architecural Digest at some point years ago.

Electronic stuff are my fav purchases/gifts - camera is a Nikon CoolPix - I would give you more info if I could actually READ the 6 point type on the camera!

Glad you enjoyed the photos -- as I was taking them, my husband, Demetri, said, "honey, this is your blog post for today!"

:-)

Lori, I saw the play in a packed theater. After the 254 minutes on stage, I walked out limp. It was incredible, the lady who originally played the mother I got to see. The author's father was being treated for cancer at the time and I missed him in the play. Sadly as you know he died from cancer. I saw that the play is coming to Tulsa.
