Tulsa River Parks - the best of our Tulsa Community

Tulsa River Parks - the best of our Tulsa Community

Tulsa River ParksTulsa River Parks includes 26 miles of surfaced trails for jogging and cycling - weaving through picnic areas, playgrounds, sculptures and fountains - along the banks of the Arkansas River. Landscaping varies from neatly manicured areas to the rugged terrain of the Turkey Mountain wilderness.

In addition to providing areas for jogging, walking and cycling, many fish, row or kayak on the river. Others enjoy the natural wildlife of fox, beavers and racoons, while other enjoy bird-watching Bald eagles, pelicans, herons and songbirds.

River Parks Mission
To maintain, preserve, develop, and promote the Arkansas River and adjacent land areas under the Authority's jurisdiction within Tulsa County for the economic and cultural benefit of the community.
River Parks Vision
To be the region's premier park, recreation, and entertainment destination.

Just opened in 2011 is the Blue Rose Cafe on the River and a 2nd outdoor eating establishment, Elwoods.

Throughout the year you'll find outdoor events on the River, including concerts, festivals, fireworks and running and cycling competitions.

The 41st Street Plaza is a great place to hang out with several interactive water features, playground, picnic areas, and covered pavilion.

Scattered throughout the River Parks are a collection of fourteen bronze wildlife sculptures, all gifts fom NatureWorks, Inc., a local organization that promotes wildlife conservation and education projects in our area.

Most events are located on the west side of the River, including the annual Scottish festival and popular Oktobertfest. Also accessible from the west bank is the Reynolds Floating Stage and Amphitheater where concerts are enjoyed.

And of course, we enjoy the annual July 4th festivities with the magical display launched from the 21st Street bridge and various activities throughout the day.

Also along the River is The Spotlight Theatre where the performance of "The Drunkard" can be seen each Saturday night throughout the year.

Visit the Tulsa River Parks web site for updated calendar of events and trail conditions updates.

Many people want to live close to Tulsa's River Parks, so come with me if you would like to shop for homes for sale near the River. I only live a half block away.

Tulsa's FEATURED home for sale by the River actually backs up to the McBirney Mansion and is a stone's throw away from the River: 640 West 14th Street. A beautiful semi-circle deck above the 3-car garage offers a beautiful view of the Spotlight Dinner Theatre, River Trails and statues.

Tulsa is a great place to live, work and play. Call me for a tour: 918-852-5036.
