The funny things Tulsa home Buyers say
When I'm out shopping with Tulsa home buyers, I make notes of their comments as we tour properties - and some of what they say is funny. Notes are kept so that I can better understand what they're looking for, plus I'm able to pass along their comments to the Listing Realtor.
"Icky carpet."
"Nice house, but I wouldn't want to live here."
"LOVE the brick mailbox!!"
"The house across the street is turquoise - wouldn't want to look at that every day!"
Of course, I remind my Buyers not to be deterred by things easily changed - icky carpet, for example. If the layout and flow of the house meet your needs, try to overlook the Seller's choice of paint colors if they differ from yours. If updated flooring is needed, we can write that in the sales contract or upgrade at a later date.
Some things can't be changed, and that's what Tulsa home Buyers need to be focused on. Location, location, location. If there is not a bedroom on the first level and that's a concern, move along to the next house. If the house backs up to an interstate and noise is going to be an issue, scratch that property off your list of possibilities.

If there's not a bathtub on the first level and you love everything else about the well-priced Tulsa home for sale, get a contractor in to estimate the cost of replacing a shower with a tub. And, yes, the high definition television mounted on the covered patio is nice, but how much is that worth? And, the brick mailbox can be added to any home.
If the inventory is high in the price range in which you are shopping, keep hunting to find the home that you'll need to do the least amount of work to suit your needs. However, if you're shopping for a bargain, try to think outside of the box and focus on what you can and can not change in your next Tulsa home purchase!
